F U R T H E R R E A D I N G
Jennifer Connelly was born in the Catskill Mountains area of New York on 12th
December 1970. Her early career began with child modelling. Several European
movies followed her acting debut in an episode of the British TV drama show,
"Tales of the Unexpected" in 1982. She returned to the United States to study
at Stanford.
Jennifer has starred in the following films...
Higher Learning, Of Love and Shadows, Heart of Justice, Career Opportunities
(aka One Wild Night), The Rocketeer, The Hot Spot, Some Girls (aka Sisters)
Etoile (aka Ballerina), Labyrinth, Seven Minutes in Heaven, Creepers and
Once Upon a Time in America.
Jennifer appeared alongside Jason Priestly in the video for the 1992 Roy
Orbison hit, "I Drove All Night"......
.....And, as for the film.....
Jim Dodge (Frank Whaley) has the odd problem or three. Known as the town liar
for his stories of exaggeration, he's just been sacked from his job and he has
to find another to avoid being sent to St Louis. The only job going is "Night
Clean-Up Boy" at Target, a huge discount store.
Josie McLellan (Jennifer) is the beautiful daughter of the richest businessman
in town, and desperately unhappy. She dreams of leaving town and, when
considering shop-lifting from Target to get arrested to gain an opportunity
to leave town, she inadvertently gets locked in the Target store with Jim during
his first night of his new job..
Jim is having a wild time on the job, 15 minutes work followed by a 5 hour
break. During his break, he meets up with Josie and, following a heart to heart
about the problems they each face, Jim and Josie decide to leave town together.<P>
Their plans are disrupted by the arrival of two thieves, who are out to
get as much from Target as possible.
Classic Quotes....
"It's only 210 calories", Jim says, preparing dinner, "and I don't know
if you're watching your figure but I sure am !"
"You go out with someone, you bring her home, you introduce her to mum, dad,
sis, billy, woofy the dog, cocktails in the rumpus room and then....do it on
the bunk bed..." - Josie
"You know, if my foot could talk, it would say may I please go up this
geek's arse" - A Crook
